Citizen Suites Online Check-In

Check-in / Check-out Policy

Check-in at 3:00 PM

You can check in any time from 3:00 PM local time. Room/apartment keys will wait for you at 39 Triq Viani, Sliema.

Please note that Citizen Suites main entrance mapping is at 39 Triq Viani. Arrangements for checking out will be made at the same time.

The balance of the full apartment rental amount is payable on arrival at check-in time if the room charges are not paid. Please note that check-in cannot be completed until full payment.

Apartment self-check access is provided at check-in time. Key access is digital only.

During the check-in process, our receptionist will provide you with any information which may be required during your stay, such as the location of nearby shops, good places to eat, sights you may like to see, and places to go at night. Always ask our receptionist for anything that would make your stay more enjoyable and convenient.

Check-out at 10:00 AM

You can check out any time up until 11:00 AM local time. Later check-out times may be requested, although we may not always be able to accommodate late changes. This will depend on availability and how busy we are.

Smoking & Damages Policy

In common areas of the hotel, smoking is not allowed. You will be asked to sign a document confirming that you agree to a €50 fine if any evidence of smoking is found in building areas such as window ledges, the lift, stairs, or the entrance area near the reception.

Please note that we comply with local health and safety guidelines and recommendations provided by the EEC on smoking in public places.

The standard booking price does not include the environmental/city tax and condominium charges. This will be paid upon arrival at the property only and is €3 per person per night.

  • Immediate termination of the rental agreement is possible if more guests stay in the property than agreed.
  • Immediate termination is possible if excessive noise is made in the evening hours or at night.
  • Sub-letting the property you have rented (or giving it to other people) is not permitted. The number of people residing in the apartment should be the same as confirmed in the booking. Accommodation for additional guests may be requested.
  • A €50 charge for each additional guest per night will be charged. We reserve the right to cancel any reservation, without refund, if an unconfirmed number of people stay overnight in the apartment.
  • The hotel is located in a guest house building at 39 Triq Viani, Sliema. All guests are asked to respect the property and privacy of the neighbours and not to make excessive noise between 22:00 and 08:00.

Kitchen Room Policy

Please practice safe cooking habits and do not leave burners on unattended. Please do not cook with strong-smelling ingredients. Lingering smells that require room closure and deep cleaning will be charged a cleaning fee of up to €25.

SMS and Text Messaging Policy

We use a guest messaging platform to communicate with you regarding your stay. By providing your phone number during the booking process, you consent to receive text messages from the property.

Purpose: Text messaging may be used to send check-in instructions, access information, room readiness updates, and to respond to your requests during your stay.

Opt-out: You may opt out of receiving text messages at any time by replying STOP to any message you receive. You will receive a final confirmation message, after which no further SMS messages will be sent.

Help: If you experience issues or need assistance, you may reply HELP or contact the front desk directly.

Privacy of mobile data: No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties.

Self Check Access and Digital Key Usage

Welcome to Citizen Suites by A Signatures by Dahlia.

Our property operates with a secure digital access system. Your room and building access will be managed through the UpKey mobile application.

Scene 1 — Download UpKey

Step 1: Download UpKey from Google Play or the Apple App Store.

Before arrival, please download the UpKey app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. The app is available for both iPhone and Android devices.

Scene 2 — Login Details

Step 2: Login to UpKey.

On your arrival day, from 3:00 PM onwards, you will receive your booking reference and password. Enter these details and tap Sign In.

Scene 3 — Allow Bluetooth

Step 3: Enable Bluetooth.

Please ensure Bluetooth is enabled and allow all requested permissions when opening the app.

Scene 4 — Open the Main Entrance

Step 4: Open the main entrance.

When you arrive at the building entrance, open the UpKey app. Locate the Main Door access icon and tap the door symbol while standing near the entrance.

Scene 5 — Access Your Room

Room example: 502.

After logging in, you will see your assigned room number. For example, Room 502 is located on the fifth floor. When standing outside your room, tap the door icon next to your room number to unlock the door.

Scene 6 — Door Opens

Tap the door icon to unlock.

Once the command is sent, the lock will release and you may enter.

Scene 7 — Enjoy Your Stay

Scene 8 — Need Assistance?

If you need help at any stage, contact the front desk or reply HELP to any SMS message from the property.
